Hon Cau Marine Reserve has an area of ​​12,500 hectares, on the sea of ​​Tuy Phong district, Binh Thuan province. This is a young island emerging in the middle of the sea to the Northeast, surrounded by tens of thousands of rocks of different colors and shapes, lying in clusters, groups or individually like a diverse and rich ink painting arranged by human hands. Many beautiful beaches, pure white sand, surrounded by stone walls, create a private, comfortable space for visitors to soak in the clear blue water. The marine ecosystem here is rich, typical of tropical waters: colorful and diverse coral reefs, seagrass beds, many rare aquatic species… With its wild beauty and diverse marine ecosystem, Hon Cau attracts many tourists to relax and explore the natural world under the sea. Here, every year there is a traditional festival on the full moon day of the fourth lunar month, fishermen organize the Cau Ngu festival, attracting many locals and tourists to come and enjoy and learn about the festival culture of the fishing village people.

The special feature of Hon Cau is the original coral reef system of more than 2 km long with nearly 234 types of coral. Visitors only need to dive 4 – 5m deep, the colorful picture of the coral world appears shimmering in the light refracted through the clear blue water. Not to mention the aquatic resources in the coral reef, especially the lobster resources. According to the experience of fishermen, the eastern and northeastern areas of Hon Cau have reefs that are the spawning grounds of 3 species of lobsters: spiny lobsters, red lobsters and blue lobsters. This is a sea area with many rare marine animals and plants. According to research results, the sea area around Hon Cau island has the presence of over 34 rare aquatic species that are in the list of endangered species at different levels. On the other hand, this place is also considered the spawning ground of sea turtles, hawksbill turtles and many species of fish, adding significant aquatic resources to the surrounding seas.
