Chau Thanh District Party Committee Base, located in Truong Hamlet, Hao Duoc Commune, Chau Thanh District, Tay Ninh Province, was recognized as a provincial historical-cultural relic in Decision No. 137/QD-CT, dated September 27, 1999 of the Tay Ninh Provincial People’s Committee. During the resistance war against the US to save the country, Chau Thanh District was a large area with a 48km long border with Cambodia. The enemy concentrated on building many military bases. The Party Committee, army and people of Chau Thanh District constantly fought for the revolution, smashing all the enemy’s strategic plots. The Tua Hai Victory on the night of January 25-26, 1960 liberated Tua Hai, destroyed the puppet regiment base, killed nearly 500 soldiers, and captured more than 1,500 guns of various types and many military equipment. A battle that has gone down in history, contributing to the whole country, all unilateral war strategies established by the US – puppet in the Southern battlefield in general and Tay Ninh in particular.
In the dry season of 1966-1967, the army and people of Chau Thanh contributed to breaking the counterattack of the US-puppet Bua Khi (Thanh Dien), Truong hamlet (Hao Duoc), leaving a resounding victory in the hearts of the Party Committee, the army and people of Chau Thanh district in particular and the army and people of Tay Ninh in general. Taking advantage of the victory, the Party Committee, the army and people of Chau Thanh district continuously proactively planned to attack the enemy, broke many large and small enemy sweeps into our base areas, contributing with the whole country to defeat the US-puppet invasion plot on the southern battlefield, liberating the country.
Today, Chau Thanh District Party Committee base in Truong hamlet, Hao Duoc commune is a historical and cultural relic of great historical significance in scientific research, military history, and revolutionary tradition education for today’s generations and forever after.
