Ham Rong is 4 km from Thanh Hoa city center, along National Highway 1A. In the near future, this will be an attractive cultural and ecological tourist area of ​​Thanh Hoa. Ham Rong relic includes a complex of mountains and rivers, with beautiful landscapes and landscapes:

– Dragon Mountain: is a mountain range consisting of many peaks, running along the southern bank of the Ma River, shaped like a dragon according to folk imagination.

– Long Quang Cave: also known as Dragon Eye Cave, runs from one side to the other like eyes. Many poets have come here since the Tran Dynasty (Pham Su Manh, Le Quat), Le Dynasty (Le Thanh Tong). Nguyen Trai has a famous poem Long Dai Nham.

– Elephant Mountain: From Han is Tuong Son, has many caves, very beautiful scenery: Stalactites create many shapes, considered as scenes of hell, scenes of water palace festivals, scenes of young men and women in love.

– Nit Mountain: Also known as Ngoc Mountain, or Hoa Chau Phong Mountain, because it looks like a pillar of fire shooting up from the ground. This mountain is on the North bank of the Ma River, opposite Dragon Mountain (South bank).

– In the West: There are many mountains with strange shapes: Ngu Hoa Phong Mountain, like 5 flowers, Mother Mountain and Child Mountain like two eggs, Ta Ao Mountain like a sleeping man, Cat Mountain, Canh Tien Mountain…

– Ham Rong suspension bridge across Ma River: Built in 1904, it adds to the beauty of Ham Rong.

During the resistance war against the destructive war of American imperialism, Ham Rong was famous for many feats.
