Lam Kinh is the land of Lam Son – the homeland of the national hero Le Loi, the place where the Lam Son uprising began in the spring of 1418, where heroes and heroes gathered, gathered soldiers from all over the world to raise the flag of uprising. After 10 years of arduous resistance, with many glorious victories. On January 15, Mau Than year (1428), Le Loi ascended the throne as Emperor in Dong Kinh (Thang Long), named the country Dai Viet, took the reign name Thuan Thien and he had a policy of building Lam Son as the second capital of Dai Viet after Dong Kinh (Thang Long). Since then, Lam Kinh has become a “fundamental” land of special importance to the Le Dynasty, existing as a sacred place, a place to worship ancestors and the Emperors and Queen Mothers of the Le Dynasty, where ceremonies were held every time the Le Kings returned to pay homage at Son Lang.
Over thousands of years, the Lam Kinh historical relic has been preserved by the people, and the incense offerings to the Le kings and the Queen Mother have become the strength of the great solidarity of the Vietnamese people.
In order to manage, protect and promote the value of historical and architectural relics of the nation, on April 28, 1962, the Ministry of Culture and Information (now the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism) issued Decision No. 313/QD-VH ranking Lam Kinh historical relic as a national historical relic.
With special attention from the Party, State and Thanh Hoa province, Lam Kinh historical relic was recognized as a special national relic by the Prime Minister on September 27, 2012.
