Bat Dai Son Nature Reserve (Ha Giang) – Source: Ngo Tuan Kiet
Bat Dai Son Nature Reserve (BNR) in Quan Ba District, Ha Giang Province was established in 2000, covering an area of 10,684 hectares, of which 6,298 hectares are strictly protected areas and 4,071 hectares are ecological restoration areas. The flora here is quite rich, with 361 species belonging to 103 families and 249 genera, of which the genus Xyloselinum Pimenov & Kljuykov belonging to the Apiaceae family is a new genus. In this new genus, there are 2 new species for science, endemic to Vietnam, including Xyloselinum vietnamense Pimenov & Kljuykov and Xyloselinum leonidii Pimenov & Kljuykov, discovered by Russian and Vietnamese botanists in 2006 in the limestone forest ecosystem in Quan Ba, Yen Minh and Meo Vac districts, Ha Giang province.
