Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Minister Vo Tuan Nhan said that in 2023, the theme of International Biodiversity Day “From agreement to action: Restoring biodiversity” was launched by the United Nations, to call for Calls on Governments to quickly turn commitments into action to prevent and reverse biodiversity loss, aiming to build a future of “Living in harmony with nature” by 2050. To transform challenges and respond to the theme of International Biodiversity Day 2023, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment requests ministries, branches and localities to prioritize reviewing and perfecting the policy and institutional system. , the Party and State’s policies on resource management and biodiversity conservation; Institutionalize and internalize the contents of international treaties and agreements that Vietnam participates in.

Continue to implement activities to conserve wild and migratory birds in Vietnam, and promote the implementation of programs and plans to restore degraded natural ecosystems such as mangrove forests, coral reefs, seagrass beds and other important wetlands.
