This new partnership demonstrates the strong commitment of Vietnam and WWF to achieving global goals such as the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD), the Ramsar Convention, the Paris Agreement on Climate Change, and especially the “30×30” goal (conserving 30% of land and sea areas by 2030).

Minister of Agriculture and Environment Tran Duc Thang expressed his appreciation for WWF’s contributions. “Recently, the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment, in coordination with the Ministry of Public Security, relevant agencies, and local authorities, has implemented a joint program to combat illegal hunting and trafficking of wildlife. This program will begin in November 2025, and we believe it will yield positive results, contributing to the protection of Vietnam’s biodiversity,” he said.
On behalf of WWF, Director General Kabaluapa stated, “We highly appreciate Vietnam’s leadership and global vision in implementing the Global Biodiversity Framework, achieving the Net Zero emission target, and realizing the 30×30 conservation goal. These efforts affirm Vietnam’s pioneering role in promoting a sustainable and positive future for nature – a vision that WWF shares.”
