Lo Go Xa Mat National Park is located at an altitude of 5-10m above sea level. This national park has quite flat terrain, with a total natural area of ​​19,156 hectares, of which strictly protected areas are located. 8,179 hectares, ecological restoration subdivision 10,852 hectares, the rest is administrative and service subdivision.

Located in four communes: Tan Lap, Tan Binh, Hoa Hiep and part of Thanh Tay commune in Tan Bien district of Tay Ninh province, the National Park has an extremely diverse and rich flora and fauna system. . The flora includes lowland deciduous forests, semi-deciduous forests and melaleuca forests. Near the border area adjacent to Cambodia, there are mainly swampy grasslands with sedge mats. There are up to 696 species of plants and up to 158 species of medicinal plants, 58 species of timber trees, 21 species of ornamental plants, 10 species of food plants and 7 species of vegetable plants.

In particular, there is a bird system here with a number of up to 203 species, including many rare water birds such as Giang sen, Javan eagle, Swallow stork, Le Khoang co… This is also the stopping place for Red-crowned Cranes during their migration from the Mekong River to their breeding grounds, Cambodia. Therefore, this serves as an important place for bird conservation in Vietnam. Lo Go Xa Mat National Park in Tay Ninh is also the area with the largest forest cover in the province, with a transitional ecosystem between the Central Highlands, Southeast and Mekong Delta, becoming a place to preserve many animal species. – Rare plants are listed in the Vietnam and World Red Books.
