Chi San Nature Reserve (BTTN) was established in 2015, located in the administrative area of 5 communes (Lung Chinh, Ta Lung, Nam Ban, Tat Nga, Sung Mang) and Meo Vac town of Meo Vac district. To the north, it borders the communes: Sung Tra and Pa Vi, to the south, it borders the communes: Niem Son, to the east, it borders the communes: Giang Chu Phin, Can Chu Phin and Khau Vai (Meo Vac), to the west, it borders the communes: Mau Long, Ngoc Long (Yen Minh). The total area is 5,453.9 ha, of which: average forest area is 1,429.54 ha (accounting for 25.42%), poor forest is 212.17 ha (accounting for 3.77%), restored forest is 2,407.46 ha (accounting for 42.81%), Vầu forest is 65.98 ha (accounting for 1.17%), planted forest is 299.1 ha (accounting for 5.32%). With 663 plant species, of which 58 are rare species listed in the Red Book of Vietnam and the world such as: Red pine, Golden cypress, meridian orchid; 121 animal species, of which 22 are rare species listed in the Red Book such as: Golden monkey, silver-cheeked civet, loris…
