Dakrong Nature Reserve, Quang Tri Province is not only known as a priority area for biodiversity conservation, but it is also blessed with majestic mountains, many spectacular rivers, streams, waterfalls, diverse ecosystems, and many unique habitats.

Located in Dakrong district with a total natural area of ​​37,841 hectares. The terrain of Dakrong Nature Reserve is low mountainous, strongly fragmented and has a fairly large slope. Up to now, the flora here has recorded 1,412 plant species, of which 24 species are in the Red Book. The fauna recorded 612 species belonging to groups of mammals, birds, amphibians, fish, butterflies, termites, of which 37 species are in the Red Book. This is a Reserve considered a typical area of ​​the tropical forest ecosystem in the low mountainous region of the North Truong Son of Vietnam.
