Lang Sen, full name is Lang Sen Wetland Nature Reserve, located in the low-lying area of ​​Dong Thap Muoi in the area of ​​Vinh Loi, Vinh Dai and Vinh Chau A communes of Tan Hung district, Long An. Lang Sen Wetland Reserve is a miniature Dong Thap Muoi, attractive, with more and more tourists and domestic and foreign researchers coming to enjoy and learn. Natural lotus is the native species here, creating the name Lang Sen, meaning a shady area with many wild lotuses.

Being a large nature reserve (over 5,000 hectares), Lang Sen Nature Reserve has a large number of natural landscapes such as: Melaleuca forests, islands, swamps, rivers, or even grasslands (you have to come in the dry season to see the grasslands).

Coming to Lang Sen Wetland Reserve, visitors not only get to explore the rich and diverse ecosystem, see over 150 species of plants blooming in the vast grasslands flooded by season, with typical images of lung, tram and especially cajuput, lotus, water lily… but also have the opportunity to let their souls follow the soaring paths of 148 species of water birds. Of which, there are over a dozen species listed in the Red Book. In addition to the snail stork, giang sen, black quam, dien dien…, there is also the red-headed crane, a bird listed in the World Red Book.

The core area of ​​Lang Sen Nature Reserve has 12 sub-areas surrounded by the Vam Co Tay River and separated from residential areas. Under the canal 79 of this nature reserve is the habitat of more than 78 freshwater aquatic species, including 27 species endemic to the Mekong River such as: giant catfish, giant snakehead fish, snakehead fish, linh fish, etc.

With a diverse terrain that is very typical of a wetland ecosystem of international importance for biodiversity and conservation, Lang Sen has been recognized by the Ramsar Convention as one of nine Ramsar wetland reserves in Vietnam and the 2,227th in the world.
