The reserve is located in Dak Glei and Tu Mo Rong districts, covering an area of ​​41,420 hectares and is considered one of the four great biodiversity treasures of Vietnam.

Coming to Ngoc Linh Nature Reserve, we can see the diversity here, there are 874 species of higher plants belonging to 537 genera and families; 309 species of wild animals… The reserve has an ancient geological formation, there are still many ancient plant species such as the magnolia family, custard apple family, tea family, giant orchid family and temperate plant families. There are 9 endemic plant species, the most famous of which is Ngoc Linh ginseng which is extremely rare. The reserve also has many types of forests such as broadleaf and coniferous forests…

There are many types of animals in Ngoc Linh Nature Reserve, including 5 species listed in the World Red Book: Red-faced monkey, pig-tailed monkey, clouded leopard, tiger, short-tailed porcupine and 15 species listed in the Vietnam Red Book. In the bird fauna, two new species were discovered: the rufous-headed babbler and the striped-tailed babbler; in the reptile fauna, there are 3 endemic species: the red-tailed lizard, the yellow-fronted box turtle and the toad skink…

In addition, recently, when surveying this reserve, scientists discovered 39 plant species that they had never seen in other localities, and 50 rare plant species.

For a long time, Ngoc Linh Nature Reserve has been a destination not only for scientists but also for ecotourism that many tourists seek out. Associated with the famous Ngoc Linh peak, Ngoc Lonh Nature Reserve with its green, cool space creates a feeling of closeness to nature, becoming one of the most popular tourist destinations in Kon Tum province.
