Ngoc Linh Nature Reserve is located in Tra Linh, Tra Cang, Tra Tap, Tra Don and Tra Leng communes of Nam Tra My district with a total area of over 14,800 hectares, of which over 5,300 hectares is a strictly protected area, the remaining area belongs to the ecological restoration area.
Ngoc Linh Nature Reserve was established with the goal of protecting, maintaining and developing the integrity of the natural forest ecosystem; conserving endangered and rare species of animals and plants. Carrying out scientific research tasks related to issues such as forest resources, forest ecosystems, animal and plant resources, biodiversity, and conservation of rare genetic resources. Raising public awareness of nature conservation and environmental protection through effective advocacy, propaganda, and training solutions in forest management and protection. Aiming to invest in sustainable socio-economic development of the buffer zone, creating jobs, increasing income, improving life, contributing to hunger eradication and poverty reduction. Carrying out contracting and implementing the policy of paying for forest environmental services.
