Stretching across three provinces of Lam Dong, Binh Phuoc and Dong Nai, Cat Tien is one of the largest national parks in southern Vietnam. This world biosphere reserve holds within itself priceless treasures of nature with extremely rich flora and fauna and many ecological landscapes typical of the wild nature of the Southeast region. The most special is the Bau Sau Ramsar site in Cat Tien National Park, which is considered the most unique riverine inland freshwater wetland area, with high value not only in terms of habitat but also in terms of species conservation because The area around Bau Sau concentrates many rare species of aquatic animals and plants.
Bau Sau in the ancient Cham language means a lake where many crocodiles live. This is a wonderful habitat for Siamese crocodiles, aquatic animals and plants, freshwater fish, birds whose lives are closely related to water, especially many endangered bird species in Vietnam. South as well as those of the world such as White-winged Swan, Green-winged Ibis, Javan Egret, etc. Ungulates such as Gaur, Deer, Wild Boar also often appear in this area to feed in the dry season every year. creating a unique and rarely seen wild habitat.
